Overview

Responsible for supervising and directing production activities within an industrial facility. Coordinates the production of goods, ensures machines are repaired and running smoothly, and manages workers

Responsibilities

  • Schedule daily activities
  • Assist with analyzing and reduction of costs.
  • Assist with ordering of materials.
  • Ensure delivery dates are met on time.
  • Supervise Testing of equipment for disrepair and malfunctions.
  • Set and meet production goals.
  • Hire, train, and supervise workers.
  • Correct problems on production line.
  • Change production levels and staffing on different product lines to minimize inventory levels.
  • Monitor product standards.
  • Implement and oversee quality control programs.
  • Coordinate with different departments in the assembly/modification/trailer departments
  • Manage communication lines with managers, suppliers, and procurement departments.
  • Keep abreast of new technology that can be used in the production process. 
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs.
  • Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities :                                                   

Manages subordinate employees on all production assembly lines. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these assembly lines. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of production / manufacturing supervisor experience in a high paced environment required
  • Experience with power generators highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline is a plus
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance testing and protocol
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to clearly communicate with staff at all levels
  • Must be disciplined and extremely well organized to balance multiple priorities under critical time constraints
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Forklift experience
  • Aerial Lift/Crane experience a plus

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of SAP desirable
  • Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  •  Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record

If noise level in the environment is loud then hearing protection is required to be worn.
