Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the position is responsible for compiling and analyzing industry data to help identify trends and determine new markets. The position works with members of the sales, product management and IT teams to create a strategy to maximize market penetration. Also responsible for creating and managing database of new customers and identifying ways for Multiquip to develop and maintain a connection with its end users.



  • Identifies potential areas of additional business in markets the company is currently active by analyzing customer activities, industry trends and economic factors.
  • Identifies potential areas of new growth by analyzing information from internal and industry sources for growth opportunities outside our traditional markets.
  • Works alongside stakeholders from senior management, sales, and product teams to develop necessary strategies to capture additional business.
  • Analyzes customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and other factors impacting product demand to identify promotional opportunities within target markets and industry segments.
  • Analyzes trends using existing market, consumer, competitive and product/service data as well as unstructured data from within targeted industries.
  • Builds and manages database of Multiquip end users in construction, public works, and industrial markets to better understand their needs and support future business development initiatives.
  • Input and review data received from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers and contributes to industry meetings as required.
  • Identify target industries and market segments, and potential product requirements, to create direct marketing activities.
  • Forecasts and tracks marketing, advertising and communications programs and strategies.
  • Creates, tracks, and assesses customer satisfaction survey materials. Devises and evaluates methods and procedures for collecting data such as surveys or questionnaires.
  • Works with Marketing Communication Specialist to create customer and end user loyalty campaigns.
  • Assists as necessary in coordinating events as required including trade shows and industry events.
  • Assist the marketing group in other marketing communications functions as needed.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing analysis, marketing communication and digital marketing experience
  • Manufacturing and distribution industry experience is preferred
  • Marketing communication, advertising and social media experience is desirable
  • Experience conducting competitive intelligence; data gathering/analysis highly desirable
  • Software proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
  • Familiarity with SAP and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Presentation and project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent copy writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting strict deadlines with limited supervision
  • Strong understanding of new technologies and their application to marketing
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Extremely creative and innovative
  • Team player - works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded
