Overview

Provide user support and maintain systems. Evaluates tickets and resolves per SLA. Installs, modifies, and makes repairs to computer hardware and software systems. Investigates and resolves software and hardware problems. Maintains excellent customer service while providing technical assistance of the following, but not limited to, duties.  

Responsibilities

  • SharePoint User support and departmental implementations
  • Microsoft PowerApp creation and deployments (training from peers is available)
  • Provide prompt and professional service to internal and external customers
  • Participate in designing, testing, debugging, and documenting network, operating systems, and software
  • Recommend alternative options to optimize current processes
  • Provide assistance and routine consultation to users
  • Hardware maintenance and repair activities. Diagnose and resolve networking problems
  • Work with others to develop alternative system and software designs
  • Install, configure, and tests workstations with supporting hardware, software, and networking components
  • Experience implementing tools for monitoring network, server health, etc.
  • Maintain and support routers, switches, firewalls, and network topology
  • Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products
  • Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether products will aid user in performing work
  • Write software and hardware evaluations and recommendations for management review
  • Regularly maintains documentation of newly deployed/updates to systems
  • Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems
  • Analyzes and evaluates incident reports and makes recommendations to reduce helpdesk incident rate
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical information to users via voicemail, IM (Instant Messaging), e-mail, or in-person
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and minimum three years of related experience
  • Experience working with Cisco equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls.
  • Experience with Cisco phones is a plus.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
