Overview

The position is responsible for managing the assembly, shipping of PE product and Inventory Control at Multiquip Inc.’s following location: Lewisville.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors work being performed and advises as to better methods and corrects mistakes as they happen related to all areas of operation in the plant
  • Monitors product flow to ensure efficiency
  • Communicates with Master Supply Chain Planner on availability of product or related issues
  • Monitors inventory transactions and documents flow process through invoicing
  • Oversees assembly production for all departments including modification, trailer, final assembly and shipping/receiving
  • Develops and manages headcount, operating expenses and CAPEX budget
  • Oversees the maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery ensuring optimum operating efficiency; ensures that facility and equipment preventive maintenance programs are implemented and maintained
  • Manages the adherence to plant Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
  • Ensures product quality standards are met for all raw material, work in process and finished products
  • Provides regular reports to management showing utilization, efficiency and performance against targets; provides regular analysis of capacity utilization and recommends actions to meet needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises both supervisory and non-supervisory employees in the P.E. Assembly of the facility.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on, contemporary production/plant manufacturing management experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Production or Operations Management, Management or equivalent is a plus
  • Experience in fast paced, constantly evolving industrial and/or commercial grade rental machinery production. Supervising staff in assembly, modification, quality control, receiving, stocking, order pulling, cycle counts and preparation for shipping.
  • Experience in Production Planning and Customer Relations – internal and external.
  • Inventory management experience of 5+ years.
  • Engineering/design background a plus.
  • Demonstrated, comprehensive and expert knowledge and understanding of production processes.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance testing and protocol.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities under critical time constraints.
  • Ability to effectively manage and embrace a diverse work group.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Must be disciplined and extremely well organized.
  • Firm, fair, flexible and motivational management/leadership style.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

 

 

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
  • VINeze experience a plus
