This position is responsible for providing support in the effort of ensuring the companies cost of goods sold and product margins are being reported correctly as well as the valuing of inventory for both finished goods and raw materials.


Maintains the integrity and accuracy of cost data for material


Updates new part numbers with cost attributes and values within SAP through the utilization of the Multiquip Cross Plant Material Status report and other identified means such as indented BOM and purchasing quotes


Assists in the monthly close process to include (but not be limited to): Reconciles inventory accounts; analyzes Purchase Price Variance; Manufacturing Production Variance and WIP Material Variance


Works closely with production teams to understand operation/manufacturing process flow and ensures compliance to all business control guidelines


Responsible for conducting quarterly costing reviews and cost analysis updates


Key member of Physical Inventory Team to organize, perform and reconcile annual and interim physical inventories to include Cycle Counts including posting adjustments using SAP count sheets


Assists the Plant Controller with process improvements/waste reduction/efficiency initiatives and provides and implements proactive solutions to company-wide issues on an as-needed basis


Assists with special projects, as necessary


Performs other duties that may be assigned


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  SAP Standard Costing, JSox, Indented BOM and Plant Labor Absorption helpful; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
